Get your paint-throwing devices ready. Today is the day Nintendo finally pulls back the curtain on its next major Switch 2 exclusive with a dedicated Nintendo Direct. If you want to see exactly how this franchise is turning into a wild single-player survival adventure, you are in the right place.

Nintendo is bringing the spotlight back to its highly anticipated spin-off. The broadcast focuses entirely on Splatoon Raiders, giving fans an extended look at the gameplay loop, mechanics, and world design. If you are eager to see how the ink-splatting world transitions from competitive multiplayer to a treasure-hunting experience, the wait is officially over.
When to Watch the Broadcast
The special presentation airs today, June 30, at 7 a.m. PDT / 10 a.m. EDT / 4 p.m. CEST.
The main Direct will last approximately 15 minutes, focusing on new game mechanics and story details. However, the event does not stop there. Immediately following the Direct, Nintendo Treehouse: Live will stream 30 minutes of uncut gameplay. This double presentation will give players a clear understanding of the core loop before the game officially launches.
A New Direction for the Franchise
Splatoon Raiders steps away from the traditional multiplayer turf wars. This new entry is a pure single-player survival adventure set across the Spirhalite Islands.
Players step into the shoes of a mechanic working for the famous Deep Cut trio—Frye, Shiver, and Big Man. Instead of standard ink weapons, the gameplay revolves around building mechanical gadgets and paint-throwing devices to hunt for treasure and fight off aggressive Salmonids.
Release Date, Pricing, and New Gear
The game officially launches on July 23, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Nintendo is introducing a split pricing model for this release. The digital version will cost $49.99, while physical copies will retail for $59.99.
Alongside the game, hardware collectors have a few new items to look forward to:
New Amiibo: Fresh Splatoon Raiders figures for Frye, Shiver, and Big Man will be available for $24.99 each.
New Controllers: Nintendo is launching a brand-new colorway for the Joy-Con 2, featuring a clean blue and light yellow design.
Will you be tuning in to the presentation? Let us know in the comments if you are excited about this single-player approach or if you prefer the classic multiplayer matches!
